Dance for every body!

Welcome to Southern Sway Belly Dance
Rooted in movement, rhythm, and connection, Southern Sway Belly Dance is a space for embodied dance experiences, intentional teaching, and expressive performance.
I’m Apryl Grace, dancer, teacher, performer, writer, and creative entrepreneur. My work is grounded, earthy, and deeply connected to music, culture, and the body. I’ve spent decades immersed in belly dance as both an art form and a lived practice, and today my focus has shifted toward more intentional, personalized offerings.
I currently offer:
Rather than ongoing weekly classes, my work now centers on series-based learning and private instruction, allowing for deeper focus, growth, and connection. You can explore upcoming offerings and series on the class pages.
I’m also the founder and director of Southern Raqs Festival, returning in 2027, and I remain actively involved in building creative, movement-based community experiences.
Belly dance is for every body, every age, every story. My role is to guide, support, and create space, whether that’s in a private lesson, a small group, or on stage.
